Journalist murdered in Jhapa

JHAPA, APR 04 -Unidentified men murdered a journalist in Jhapa district mid night Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Yadav Poudel, 40, Jhapa correspondent of Avenues Television. According to police, Poudel was stabbed in his neck in a hotel at Birtamod Bus Park. Poudel, resident of Southa VDC, Morang was temporarily residing in Birtamod and was active in journalism. He was also working at Rajdhani Dainik and was sub-editor of local Mechi Times Dainik. Police have detained a dozen for the investigation. Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of the Federation of Nepali Journalist (FNJ) is underway in the Capital following the incident. Source: ekantipur.com
